Random Remarks

Dear Class,

Too many people are competing with me for your attention these days that I have problem addressing class issues and personal issues with you all. The same goes with me too, many things are competing with my form class for my attention as well. Whatever it is, I am determined to spend at least half an hour to speak my mind to you over the next couple of paragraphs, I really hope you'll spend a couple of minutes of your time reading. Same rule applies, no name mentioned but if you guess I am referring to you, you're probably right.

Relationship Problems
I guess it is worth the effort to repeat again: Go for healthy relationships, closeness is secondary. Adjust your expectations of your friends so that you do not suffocate one another and end up bitter beyond reconciliation. Give one another the benefit of doubt and always be willing to forgive over and over and over again. Careless words may hurt you but people don't always mean what they say and apologising is always difficult, take the first step and be forgiving, the rest will fall into place.

Nobody wants to be the bad guy and very often, people lie to make themselves look better. Along the way, truth is sacrificed together with innocent people getting misunderstood, what would you do when someone talks bad about another infront of you? Would you join in the slandering? At the end of the day, human weakness, negligence and deliberate fault is as inevitable as expecting ourselves to make mistakes every now and then. As we hope to be forgiven when we do wrong, shouldn't we extend forgiveness generously?

CCA
I do not encourage quitting of CCA. Instead I believe in taking initiative to solve problems. Problems do not always lie with the CCA, sometimes problem comes back again even after switching CCA. What are you going to do then? Switch again? So if your problem is
  • getting along with people (teachers/fellow members/coach etc..)
  • boredom
  • lack of interest

These are problems that will very likely come back again. Persevere and deal with it.

Studies
There are three signs to look out for when one is really studying. They are:
  1. Reading up,
  2. 2writing and taking notes,
  3. thinking and asking questions.

As oppose to

  1. Opening books for display only,
  2. having plenty of stationery on display but listening to mp3,
  3. thinking and deciding which place is most comfortable to put up a "study-show".

Be true to yourself, you will know when you are really learning and when you are wasting your time putting up a show.

hmm.... this entry is getting too long...

I miss STI, any volunteer?

And yes, I miss CTI too.

Last note, cherish one another, time with 2A is precious, you cannot turn back the clock, the only thing you can do is make the best of what you have in your hands.

With love
