Why does this class blog exist?

First and foremost, it is not because we want to have what others have. This blog exist for real and concrete reasons.

  1. To build up good healthy relationships within the class through truthful expression of thoughts. This can come in a form of encouragement, thank you notes, praises, birthday wishes, highlighting of pleasant experiences and so on. On the other hand, for undesirable events, this blog may also be used to point out mistakes.
  2. To remind the class upcoming events and update ongoing issues. For example, temperature taking exercise and emergency exercise.
  3. To journal class outings and official school events like Love Our Community Day.
  4. To keep in touch with school, teachers and classmates during school holiday, sick leave, outbreak of epidemic school closure and the like. Get well notes for classmates not feeling well is most welcome.

There may be more but the above points kind of give you an idea the contents of 2A class blog.

As a result, there are certain things that have to be said upfront.

  1. Anonymous entries are allowed as long as contents are good and healthy. The administrator has the right to request for the identity of the anonymous person. Failure to identify oneself may result in postings being deleted.
  2. Keep angry, personal grievances to your personal blog. Don't have? Create your own. I teach you.

Not too many constrains right? I guess constrains are unnecessary when people exercise personal responsibility.

Happy blogging.

Countdown... 2 more days

Two more days to official launch: heard that 2B has started their blog. I suppose great minds think alike?

I'm glad I have more or less confirmed the class exco by now. Even more glad to know that Treasurer is taking the initiative to start her first round of collection. The general office will be collecting paper money soon. It is good to be ready.

What about new year decoration? actually, the National Education/Noticeboard post is still empty. I need volunteers to decorate the class. A bit late by now.

Is everyone getting used to the new seating arrangement? I hope to hear your ideas and suggestions.

You miss your sec 1 class?

Dear Class,

I know many of you miss your previous class. Even ex-1A cannot be spared because close to half are now streamed to the other three classes. But there is something I need you to know: I miss my previous form class too.

How do we move on from here?

At least we share something in common: We all miss our 2007 class badly. I guess admitting gives us a good headstart. Go ahead, tell your new classmates your story, those things you did last year. It's a pity there was no orientation camp but I'm sure there had been things you did together that make you miss your class today. Next, be sure you contribute to the well-being of your present class 2A. By now I'm sure you have realised that people here are just as nice and all hope for a better year this year. What remains is to put a hope into action.

Consider the following:
Have you been faithfully doing your duty assigned to you (a job for everyone)?
Have you helped, comforted, encouraged.... a classmate lately?
Have you wished a classmate (Prasana, Amir) happy birthday?

Special memories are always times when everyone contributes to a common purpose. When you have collected enough of these, the year ahead will naturally be a pleasant and memorable one.

As for me, I will continue to be your humble neighbourhood form teacher.

1st entry: It is time to start this class blog.

The day is 24th of January 2008. I started this blog using the standard url used by Yuying Secondary School. It will come a day (tentatively 1st Feb) when I formally announce the birth of it but as for now no one knows about it. So, if you happen to stumble in before the above date, I just want to say that I am very encouraged to know that someone actually care enough to try looking for the existence of a class 2A blog. Thank you.

I look forward to an exciting year.
