The following lists the student leaders in our class: 16 in all.

AFRINA, AMANDA ANG, AMANDA FOO, CHUA JIA YU, HEW CHIN DIN, HEW CHIN YI, JANICE TAN, JASMINE, LAI SOK KUAN, LIM JIA XIN, NICOLE TAN, TAN JOANNE, CHERYL YUEN, MATHIAS, LIM JIAN CHENG, IVAN

You have my blessings for missing CME lesson today. The investiture is a big event and one you should rightfully feel honoured to be part of.

Along the way, the term service was mentioned quite a number of times.

SO

How does service to others look like (Just to name a few)?
  1. Umbrella shelter fellow schoolmates stuck in a thunderstorm from bus stop to school gate, it doesn't matter whether:
  • He/she is dry while you get wet because the umbrella is not covering you
  • He/she thank you after the sheltering
  • He/she is a latecomer, frequent offender, friend or just a strangeritudent leaders from another school to find their way to the hall and miss the ceremony you long to
  1. .Leading student leaders from another school to find their way to the hall and miss the ceremony you long to attend.
  2. Explain on behalf of your classmate when you know that he/she has been wronged or wrongly punished
  3. Correct them gently if they have done wrong.

Remember, student leadership is not only about wearing smart blazers and attending prestigious ceremonies. Prestige and honour do not mean much to one who has not served with passion and soon they will die off. Leaving a person wanting to quit to look for "what else is there in store for me". Look at the sec ones, the investiture is a "so fun and interesting event" that not everyone gets to take part. Now, how many of them will sincerely serve? Time will tell. Finally, look at the sec 4s, listen to the outgoing Council President, that was the voice of maturity and "priceless" affirmation. The fool looks upon such sacrifice and remark "valueless", let the fool continue being a fool. I'll say "Look! Service and Sacrifice!"

Student leadership/Councils/Excos/the "Board" - There will be ups and downs, enjoy the process, the reward? I quote from Rachel, is "Priceless"
