End-of-year Exams: Diary of an Invigilator

The class is absolutely focused and purposeful in doing well in this exams, I'm glad
  • not because exam results will be good
  • not because I will have an easy time invigilating
  • not because I can present my class as a model for others to follow

BUT

  • because you have a purpose and you are fulfilling that purpose as a pupil by being serious with your exams.

The purpose of a pupil is to study hard and learn all that is good from one another including teachers. When you serve your purpose, you will never feel bored or lonely. The reverse is also true. There are many pupils out there who have forgotten why they are here, they have lost their way and get into trouble. Maybe we should have more sympathy than dislike for these people. Some are your friends. Do you lead these people to their actual purpose? Or you let them tell you what to do and you follow them?

You have my blessings for the rest of your exam papers.
