Farewell.

Beloved Egan,

Didn't expect you to journey home so soon.
But I'm sure you're in the safe hands of your Father.

I will always remember you for making the class T-shirt so special with your artistic touch.

May you bring this and all the 2A memories with you home.

You'll be missed by all.

Lost time.

Dear all,

I think mid April is a good time for me to slot in this post. Not too late.

I have been around long enough. I see this every year. By April, many will settle down to study, either alone or small groups. They ask each other serious question, they want to make sure they can answer questions when the exam comes. Sometimes they slow down a little, sometimes they dash even through the night to finish chapters.

Meanwhile, another group is totally unaffected, they play ball, football, basketball... they find lessons don't make sense and do nothing to clarify. They like going out with friends. They mix with people who don't bother about their own results and even less concerned about yours. They leave it till tomorrow, they hate teachers' warning (labelled: NAGGING).

Below is the profile of pupils of what they did before and after exams...

Student D:
Played basketball till 7 almost everyday, broke a finger, MC for a while and back playing basketball. Common excuse: de-stress. Consequence: Can't get into Poly, don't want ITE, so repeat.

Student N:
Played street soccer all the way, even during O levels. Not a moment of study. When I ask, the reply was just a smile and it is back to street soccer. Student N recently commented on facebook wall: "I don't like how everyone is starting school/orientation when i'm not even close to that"

Student S:
"hey, i dont even get into any shit. im just waiting till i get call up (NS) and get raped by guys."

My plea to you: Make a difference while you still can. Other things can wait. The school will be organising night study soon, make full use of it.

Did someone complain bored? Or don't know what to do?
